Hello Christine,

I understand that not all higher animals on land. It just seems strange to me that an animal would take millions of years to adapt to the land and then, for some strange reason, take more millions to adapt right back to where it began in the water. Seems like regression instead of evolution.

I know that this can be explained by saying that the dolphin's environment forced it to have different adaptations at different times. I just think it sounds a bit strange.
