Allen, I said a week or so I would post a part of an article from a communications rag that I get. This is a part of 10 predictions concerning the internet for 1997:

6. On-line Companies

The pre-Internet model of on-line service companies was, and still is, aggregation of content, hosting and access. This model cannot survive in the new internet era. The model of the future is the disagregation of content from hosting from access. Prediction 6: the on-line industry will begin to slip badly next year because they really aren't needed anymore for low-end access to the internet and every major IXC, LEC and cable company will be competing and gobbling up their customer base.

For what it's worth.
