Vestor: Best bet Long term ( 1 year) MCLD Its right here in my home town, Telephone company with 6000 route miles of fiber optics, well financed, installing miles of cable for every day , will switch its customers over from leased lines to their own lines in late 1998 and all of 1999. Operated at a loss since inception ( about 4 years)W hen the switch comes it will turn instantly profitable. Fidelity Contra fund added 500,000 shares this year so they have 1,603,000 shares of MCLD .Putnam Voyager has 1,321,000 shares.. I have 4,000 shares :-))
I think CD is way too far down and has room to run up after the get investor confidence back ( i have 1000 shares)
I think if APM drops back to the 5s again I will buy 1000 shares again. That pipeline had to be very full and them and RDRT fell from the mid to high 20s and stayed there. Now I see some movement and it seems to want to run up if it can find some news. May be a bit early but I'd bet its over 8 bucks by September. I don't own any now.
UTI ,, oil is good,, period. This stock is down somewhat and is a good well run profitable company. I need to buy more too , i only have 800 shares. VTPI,, Yes its a penny stock, I have held it for some time and I really believe it is very near makeing the break. They just got an well known investment banker behind them and I think they have a purpose in mind for the money and soon like this week or next. I own over 200,000 shares and am comfortable with it . Might be a fun play for a few bucks. Number one has to be MCLD. A true no brainer,, I know everyone thinks that there is no such thing,, this one is I have bought it since its IPO and am averaged in at 23.00. I wouldn't even think of selling till at least the 70s and probably not then. I know the people, the company and the CEO and they are solid workers with a vision. IMHO. As always disclaimer , disclaimer, do your homework etc. ad nausem :-)) CRDoug |
