I happened to see this news report:

Triton falls ahead of imminent asset sale
"News of the sale of Triton Energy Ltd is expected soon, and the stock was hammered on Tuesday as bears gained the upper hand with their low valuations of the company's potential sale price. Triton's underlying stock lost 2, or six percent, to 31-5/8 by the close of trade in New York, amid a bull market for oil stocks and volatility for the August options contract. One bearish investor said that he believed Triton could be worth as little as $20-$24 per share, although the bullish case was for as much as $50-$55."

That's some range of opinion about value! $20 to $55!! As I've said, I'll be happy with anything north of $45. Good luck to all of us!
The total silence is deafening -- wish we'd hear SOMETHING but maybe it's just some hard-nosed negotiating going on.
