OT again and I meant to ask the thread ----- anyone have recent experience with the purchase of an "ice box" ? The grand kids have evidently just completely worn out this 8 yr old GE that we have for when I poured the milk into their cereal this morning it was curdled and nothing was very cold. I put in a thermometer and it showed 46 degrees in the bottom and 15 in the freezer. I've not been happy with it since we bought it for it is the loudest (and I'm deaf and old) one we've ever had and I've already replaced the icemaker twice. Consumers Report wasn't really much help and I'm sending the head of the household to Sears as soon as she gets out of the bath. Any one have any reccos ? I can still recall the difficulties that Judy had with the purchase and installation of a GE last year. Regards --- Nemer
