gdichaz!
You asked for any GSM overlay on analogue systems. There are no GSM overlays.CDMA has the same network interface as the older AMPS-systems
therefor you can overlay CDMA on AMPS.GSM was developed from scratch without compatibility with older systems. You can't overlay a GSM system on an analogue AMPS or TDMA system. But there are a lot of
TDMA overlays on analogue AMPS systems.Big parts of US and Latin
America has choosen that.So I don't see that you can say that CDMA
dominates the overlay business.
There have been some questions about new GSM systems."No new systems
only extensions to older GSM systems"
Just for fun I did a search one month back for Nokia and Ericsson
and I found the following orders for new systems! Not extensions
PALTEL Ghaza and Westbank
IOWA Wireless services
Egypt MISRFONE
TELFORT Netherlands
KPN Orange Belgium
Some of this orders come from companies that have GSM systems in other countries. But more or less all big wireless operators that have operations around the world has GSM systems.I can't think about any
of the big ones that don't have any/R
