Metroplus Expansion
VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1998--NP Energy Corp is pleased to announce the
continuing expansion of its telecommunications arm, MCC Metroplus, with the recent acquisition of the customer base of a
British Columbia local flat rate provider, Direct Connect.
This will add approximately 750 clients and $20,000.00 monthly revenue to Metroplus without any initial cash outlay or
increase in overhead.
With this addition, Metroplus now has expanded its local calling area to include Whistler, BC, and are concurrently
working on yet further expansion to include the Victoria area.
Metroplus is in the process of negotiating another merger with a large local company, which will enable it to realize a
substantial increase in its client base as well as a substantial revenue increase.
With such growth in both the client base and calling area, we are also introducing a revolutionary pricing plan, which will
be implemented company wide this summer.
The company's operational offices have been relocated in downtown metropolitan Vancouver to better serve its customers
in expanded premises.
Coupled with a wider calling area at its disposal, and with its planned pricing changes, Metroplus will continue to be
competitive in this market while providing quality service at minimal cost.
