Rigs renewal... I just heard that there are 81 rigs up for contract renewal (out of 120 or so rigs) in the next ___ days (30 or 90 days?). I think this is called the "overhang" or something like that, when I 1st encountered the data on the web weeks ago. The 81 number is from a phone call, and I have no link. I would like to watch this and get the info sooner -- does anyone have a source/link? PS -- 81 is an unusually high number and is not a good number to see. They will fight for business and lower dayrates and rigcount could go much lower.
