In my mind there is no choice to be made ,, Forbes has to go period.
He was either deeply involved with this deal and hoped to keep it hidden until he was in firm control... Or he was such a figurehead that others were criminally over-stating earnings and he wasn't involved enough to know.
There does not seem to be a profit angle for others to do it , he was the one that profited the most by being able to leverage himself into the line of succession of CD.
This guy is either a crook or a dullard. Which ever it is the answer is the same. The stockholders will never stand for him to stay in command.
