Yeah, must say, I grabbed some at 29, and I have been happy with the nice run of late, to say the least. Nor do I think we are done. Clearly something is afoot, maybe an acquisition. The Internet is hot right now. I work in Silicon Valley, and read tons of DD reports on my job. The thing is: the Internet is getting hotter, and will continue to, for the foreseeable future. There is no big secret here. Therefore, I concur with other posters who say, lead the suitors a merry chase, but don't commit. Heck, QWST has a completely empty tube sitting right next to each full one just so that when demand is large enough, all they have to do is to pull fiber through the tube. That DOUBLES their capacity with a minimum of new effort.
I bought QWST off the Wired 40 list, which, I must say, has been a good "first cut" for a basket of stocks to track... also bought AOL, YHOO, GSTRF, WCOM (stock & calls), and some others off that index, which you can check out at
