I don't know enough about acquisitions in the oil industry to know if they apply to MAVK. MAVK seems to get a good chunk of revenue (and earnings, lately) from their HSS products.

Longer term, you would hope that this portion of the business would grow, to help even out oil's inevitable cycles.

In the meantime, it is interesting to me that MAVK is showing better margins and better cash/debt ratios than NSS and LSS. Also, their earnings are likely to be accretive, given the low P/E. At the same time, MAVK is such a small company, I'm not sure I see the real boost for an acquirer.
