Paul Engel, re:< Monaco and Intel Investors - IBM Introduces 5 New Computers :
Scorecard Summary: Intel......3 AMD.....2>

Sounds like a baseball score.
But, if you look at IBM's Aptiva line score for home computers, I get Intel....2 AMD.....5
And since this is the segment AMD competes in, that may tell a different story.
From IBM's web site I find 2 K6's, 3 K6-2's and 2 PII's in the Aptiva product line.
(What's interesting is there are no K6-2/333's. It appears that AMD still doesn't have the 100mHz FSB on 333 yielding. If they can solve those problems I expect IBM, Compaq and HP to introduce new AMD products at 333).
Also interesting, there are no Celeron's currently listed in this family of Aptiva home PC's.
From Intel's Q1 earnings report I see that ~30% of their product ships to five customers. I have to assume that IBM, Compaq and HP are in the top five. All have AMD products in the low end of the line.
It will be interesting to see what impact Mendocino has on these product mixes.
