Dick,

Some of the all-time best-selling books in the history of publishing have been self-published and self-promoted. To have implied that self-promotion of a book is "humiliating" is, IMO, a crass, no-class statement not worthy of a comment by the author you attacked. In addition, I didn't like the other inferences in your post either.
