Paul, ALYD recognizes there are numerous largely unautomated processes that would be perfect for adapting SmartCode (their proprietary artificial intelligence based software). In some cases SmartCode would replace an existing manual process, and in other cases SmartCode would allow automation for the very first time in any form.

As they announced at the recent shareholders meeting, ALYD is currently looking to purchase companies that would help them better achieve their goal. My understanding is that some acquisitions will be Y2K related, and others will not be. Also keep in mind that with one and a half years, at least, of lucrative Y2K work to come, ALYD is in no hurry to get their entire post Y2K strategy in place immediately. Rather, I think a non-Y2K related acquisition at this point might be just a piece of the puzzle rather than the entire puzzle.

I do sense that Wall Street is more interested to see if there's a plan, rather than quibble with exactly what that plan may be. ALYD hoped they'd have the first acquisition done by the end of August. We'll see.
