Marc, I sold this afternoon at 37 1/2, when it looked like we would not get a close above 38. If we had gotten a close above 38, I would have held. As it is, AAPL has made an "almost" hanging-man. It is quite over-bought, and I wanted to lock-away a nice 1-week profit. (In at 31 1/2).

I *am* a short-term player... I normally don't hold through earnings, but I liked the close yesterday as much as I disliked the close today.

In hindsight, of course, I would have sold at 38 on the open, and bought back at 36. But wouldn't we all have. :)

I may well be back, as I feel this is much more likely the beginning of a move than the end of one. I suppose for a short-term player like myself, the most bullish thing would be for that gap to remain, and become a breakaway gap. For long-term players, theyr'd be hell to pay later for that gap, so the best thing would be to fill it as soon as possible.
