Celeron = Celeron Pentium II = Celeron + half speed off chip cache Xeon = Celeron + full speed off chip cache Mendocino = Celeron + full speed on chip cache Katmai slot 1 = Celeron + half speed off chip cache + 3DLater Katmai slot 2 = Celeron + full speed off chip cache + 3DLater No wonder they wanted a lot of different names. But, a Celeron is a Celeron by any other name. Intel should have called their chips POS1, POS2, POS3, ... Pravin.
