DB Funny you should ask. Yesterday was the worst quote day I have experienced in seven months. Apparently MCI, which handled a large chunk of bandwidth for Manhattan Beach clients, had a major outage yesterday. So all day down the line people behind the scenes at MCI were trying to get a handle on it. Because the load had to be shifted onto other backbones it just made pretty much the whole day a mess. If you were in the #MBTrading support room - on IRC - you would have "heard" the howling. What if this problem could not be resolved quickly? It would have been a stinker if I had to answer your question honestly last night. <ggggg> This morning they announced that they pulled the plug on MCI all together and devoted the high speed hardware to the Alternet, IBM, and Sprint backbones. It worked! I had great quotes and the support room was quiet all day. After the market close some clients chimed in that they had great quotes. In the long run, I think the people at MBT that are going to prove out to be some of the hardest working and dedicated guys in the business. They don't hype themselves, as some choose to do, and they barely advertise. It is my impression that Ross and Steve and the whole crew are working tirelessly to keep their clients happy and to win more enthusiastic clients. I remain convinced that MBT will continue to keep me and many others exceedingly happy. I am as happy with them now as when I got started in January. You may be able to find a group of people that works almost as hard as these guys, but I doubt it. Don't take my word on it. Join #MBTrading on IRC and see for yourself.
