<< Iomega is a floppy [razor blade??] company now. >>

I have been a lurker on this site for some time. I bought IOM near the top last year (OK-poor timing), but I am mostly a long term investor and still hold on.

There have been many good points by both the bulls and bears (even the unpopular ones). It's sad that many of the good points by Rocky (I won't name call, 'Wocky', etc.) have been buried in an avalanche of...mindless gibberish...for lack of a better word.

Anyway, the comment that made me take the plunge on that free trial is above. It's actually a valid point and not gibberish and I acknowledge that. But many bulls and bears on this thread have said a key point that indicates profitability is the disk sales. Now that disk sales have increased dramatically, IOM is accused of being a one product company....THE DISKS. I thought this was their business model in the first place? No one complained that Gillett only sells one product, razor blades. A more sound argument would be is the higher disk sales sustainable, etc.

IOM looks to be the dominant player in removable storage. Sure there will be competition and setbacks. This is normal. In the end I will hold IOM for the long term and believe I will be well rewarded.

Comments welcome,
AJRO
