Stan, I make about 1 trade per week, so my needs are a lot different than a day trader like you. E*Trade meets my needs very well, and I have no plans to change at this time.

I seldom need to reach them during the day. I generally place limit orders at night. I hear people saying it is hard to log in during the day, and I do know there are alternate addresses to log into that are more effective during peak times.

I recently bought several hundred shares of E*Trade at 9 1/2 and it is doing OK. Dropped 5% today to 11 1/2, but it was just over 12 before the big down draft.

Online trading is definitely taking off. I know there are others getting in on the act. I honestly don't know just how good the others are, but I know some offer access to only certain exchanges. I doubt that the more conventional brokerage houses will have the committment to online trading that E*Trade and the other internet-only (I know they take phone trades at higher rates) houses like E*Trade do.

E*Trade is growing like crazy and adding capacity, so eventually capacity will catch up with demand and day-traders like you may reconsider.

Chris
