I forgot that as a "newbie" you might not be able to fully appreciate some of LT's earlier posts. Perhaps reviewing a few of his later, more recent posts (listed below) will help you to appreciate his contribution to this thread. As you can see, even if, as you suggest, he hasn't always been correct on some of his specific calls, he nonetheless has an uncanny and valuable insight into the direction and timing of the overall market.

Beebs, I think we're looking at a matter of weeks. I'm not smart enough to time it. I think everyone thinks they can ride it all the way to the apex. it can't be done. IMO, you have to start selling now. You won't even be able to get your order in things get outta hand later.

NE is the last US equity I own. I'll leave it at that. Note the divergence between the DOW and the other averages and the key BKX which is down. Finally, note the low vol. We've probably got a month or 2 left before the end, but I plan on being gone long before that.

Understand, I'm still VERY bullish on the drillers just as I was back in Oct, but the stock mkt is where we are investing, not the actual businesses. if the mkt rolls over, we will go over the hill w/ it. I had L-T cap gain trtmt and had a very nice profit. Like I said, I'm not greedy. I may buy a small land drilling co. outright so I can stay in the sector. (ggg) Still hope to start aquiring NE again around 22 later this yr.

As LT has pointed out, he has a long record of giving his opinion here in this forum, so it would be unwise and unfair to judge his record based solely on a few recent calls of his with which you disagree. Please don't think I'm picking on you, because I also appreciate your time and patience in contributing your ideas to this thread. I just think that it's important that we be fair to LT also.
