You're breaking my heart, friend. I was bitching a few weeks ago about the heat and lack of rain. There's been exactly 2 squall lines pass thru since then, both missed my neighborhood. Where I live we've had 0.04" of rain since March, and the water table looks to have dropped about 2 feet. It's been really tough on the birds - I figure most of the hatchlings died due to lack of rain.
