Recovery Engineering Reports 41% Sales Increase
MINNEAPOLIS, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Recovery Engineering, Inc. (Nasdaq: REIN - news), today reported sales of $21,724,000 with a net profit of $820,000 or 14 cents per share for the 13-week period ended July 5, 1998. This compares with sales of $15,462,000 and a net loss of $1,492,000 or 33 cents per share for the 13-week period ended June 30, 1997.
For the 26-week period ended July 5, 1998, sales were $38,949,000 with a net loss of $219,000 compared to sales of $25,809,000 and a net loss of $3,390,000 for the 26-week period ended June 30, 1997.
Sales for the 13-week and 26-week periods ended July 5, 1998 increased 41 and 51 percent respectively over sales for the comparable periods ended June 30, 1997. This growth is due to increased sales of the Company's existing PUR household water filtration products and continued new product rollout. The PUR PLUS pour-through products and new PUR ULTIMATE faucet mount water filter continue to be widely accepted among retailers. ...and more....
It looks like REIN is in the process of recovering, however, the future earning is still unclear. Nevertheless, I very happy to see the recent development and revenue growth. It has a lot of potential. This is the gray area which is the most challenging and exciting part of stock investing. Good luck.
