Hi all,

The latest news from Naxos seems to be in line with the same problem that has plagued all DD's - namely that reproducible results are hard to come by. GPGI has spent the last 5 years overcoming this obstacle. It now looks that at some level, extraction results are reproducible. The fact that we were not given numbers for what Sabin can refine from GPGI's product leads me to believe that there still may be a wide variance in the product from "batch" to "batch". I also think that continuous flow in reality is continuous "batch" flow.

The point of all this is that 2 years ago when I bought in, I didn't know a heavy metal from pop or jazz. I didn't know a monatomic state of matter from a diatomic state of matter. That was then, this is now.

There is an organization just west of Phoenix that was (is?) in the process of building a pilot production plant to mine the monatomic versions of the same platinum group elements that GPGI is mining. They state that these elements exist in abundance in their monatomic form throughout the desert southwest. The monatomic state of these elements exhibit unusual properties, which is why they are very interested in keeping these elements in this form. Monatomic elements cannot be easily detected by chemical means. This provides one possible explanation for non-reproducible SFA results. Monatomic elements are believed to be superconductors at room temperature. As such, they will do two things:

1. They will tunnel through just about anything if given a reason to do so.

2. They will tend to move away from any magnetic field (by tunnelling).

There is a laundry list of things to do to keep these elements (while in their monatomic form) from tunnelling while working with them. Conversely, there is a laundry list of things to do if you are interested in causing these elements to de-spin out of their monatomic form and into the diatomic shared electron metallic form (They say this happens at a specific Ph). They say that yield problems can arise if, while trying to get the monatoms to de-spin, you inadvertently cause them to tunnel.

I find it interesting that this organization (formed by David Hudson) is working to refine and produce monatomic PGMs just outside of Phoenix while GPGI and other DD's are trying to refine and produce their metallic counterparts also just outside of Phoenix. They say that the reason that these elements have remained monatomic (and undetected) for so long is due to the volcanic activity in the region 65 million years ago.

Hey, does anybody know where a guy can get a 65 million year old Smoker Vent on the cheap?
