3/31/98 - CUSTOMER SPORTS TAPS SHARP FOR GRAN VERDE;
First Year Revenues Estimated at $2.5 Million DEL MAR, Calif., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Customer Sports, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:CTMR ) announced today the formation of a wholly owned subsidiary, GRAN VERDE, Inc. which will provide biologically based turf and soil management products to golf courses.
S. Michael Sharp, Ph.D. was named President of the GRAN VERDE division and will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of Customer Sports. Bruce Devlin, internationally known golf course architect, member of the PGA Senior Tour and ESPN golf commentator, will serve as a senior consultant special with responsibility as a liaison with golf course designers and course management professionals. According to Devlin, "Water consumption is a major issue for every golf course designer and every golf course."
Dr. Sharp observed, "Through its GRAN VERDE division, Customer Sports, Inc. will provide golf courses with the most technologically advanced microbial products to solve their water usage and turf management problems in an environmentally safe way. There are over 15,000 golf courses in the US and all of them can benefit from one or more of the specialized products we will offer. We anticipate that first year revenues could reach 2.5 million dollars, with rapid growth in market share possible as the benefits of this approach are demonstrated on a large scale."
