I took Vitesse and the other gallium arsenide companies off my list because they face ever more powerful competition from silicon germanium high frequency devices that can be manufactured on ordinary CMOS chip lines. Currently these companies are exceeding the pessimistic Wall Street predictions for their prospects, so they are appreciating. They are in a good business but for the long term they have the more complex and expensive technology.
