Jim, I'll chat with you. I have no position yet, was thinking about establishing one yesterday, but got spooked by the IR woman's actions and the sharp sell off of prior several days, and the fact that no outside party has looked over the gas reserve calculations.

Apparently, no one was willing to pay the demanded prices so its back to the drawing board. Also the press release on ARCO's involvement with Thai/Malay gas fields sounds like they only have an agreement to agree, i.e. nothing is signed onto yet.

There is apparently a meeting going on right now and I would guess they are trying to restart the auction process and lower their sights. It seems pretty clear they want out, no more elephant stalking, and they are not even sure they want to continue with any of their projects. Sounds like a deal(s) may be reached, but at what price?

What a bunch of keystone kops. But it may be worth taking a flyer on a small long position looking for something in the low $30s to happen. Buy at 20 with a downside to 15 and upside to 30 would not be a bad dice roll.

Regards, DWW
