You are right about firing 6000 times, my mistake.

It seems that the target for AET is small engines. The 2 cycle engine needs to be replaced very soon as you know, publicity on the 2 cycle is vast and the EPA will outlaw them soon in my opinion.

The reason you rev your engine that high is because that is where the torque is to accelerate. If an engine had that same torque at a lower RPM wouldn't you say that is adventages? The engine I'm sure can be configured for the automotive application by supplying all the torque at 3000 RPM and cruise at 1000-1200 RPM as opposed to a conventional engine which cruises at 2100-2500 RPM which is actually producing around 40-50 HP.
