Wow- your son can do that at two months - I'm impressed :-) To your list I'd add 4) The DVD standard must be universally accepted by the content owners. What's kept me from buying a DVD read-only player 'til now is that I can't buy these movies on open DVD: Star Trek Star Wars The Lion King By the time my six-month-old MUST have the King, I hope all this will be resolved. But never underestimate the stubbornness of a studio wedded to a losing standard (in this case Divx).
