DiamondWorks Recieves Regulatory Approval to Extend Exercise Date of
$1.65 Warrants

VANCOUVER, CANADA - DiamondWorks announced today that it has received
regulatory approval to extend the exercise date of outstanding common share
purchase warrants for all holders who are not insiders of the company.
The company completed a private placement of 12,121,697 special warrants at a
price of $1.65 per special warrant on July 15, 1997. Each special warrant
was exchangeable for one common share and one common share purchase warrant
(a "Warrant") of the company. Each Warrant was exercisable for one common
share at an exercise price of $1.65 per share on, or before, July 15, 1998.
DiamondWorks has received approval to extend the exercise date of the
Warrants to July 15, 1999, for all Warrant holders who are not insiders of
the company, with all of the terms and conditions remaining the same,
including the exercise price of $1.65. Consequently, the exercise date for
10,709,576 Warrants has been extended to July 15, 1999, and the balance of
1,412,121 Warrants held by insiders have expired.
