Kevin Kevin, Your a Trial Memeber too. What is it with all the trial members flaming me. I'll give this much, you didnt waste time coming on here adding to the MSFT defence. Did Mr. Softie send out a Corp. Email saying I was too threatening to the Propaganda machine?

Where do I start.

"Cult Stock" - any stock which has gathered a following to the extent that business fundamentals and even threats to the corp. do not scare off the investor. Many of the stock-holders blindly invest in the company because of a belief that the company is untouchable and will never see bad days ahead. Currently, the two most well known companies that have in the recent past been deemed to hold this status are MSFT and INTC. In the early 80s and back, IBM was considered one of those stocks, but IBM has lost this status over the past decade. The DOJ and IBM's own internal mistakes helped them lose that. They are again gaining their respect. Over the next two years MSFT and INTC will be feeling this pain.

You must be a newbie not to know what a "Cult Stock" and that it is as far away from referring to Penny Stocks as can be considered. But I forgive you for not knowing much about that.

As for not making friends by my postings. Lets just clear the air here. Who started the flaming and insults. Not me. You little buddie did. If someone wants to condesendingly defend MSFT by insulting me, then I will respond. So get your facts straight before acusing me of throwing the first punch.

As for my predictions on MSFT over the next few years. Not as if anyone else here has the guts to make any predictions, but I will throw a long term guess that MSFT stock will return to the the value it was at about 1 month ago - before its big jump. I would say that people should see the DOJ trials (which will be long and drawn out - make no mistake about it) take its toll later this year. Then the further delays and problems of NT5 will rear its ugly head starting early next year. This will be compounded by Win98 sales slow-downs (which will be noticed very shortly - the sucker buyer spike is ending now) and all the Y2K issues will hurt MSFT too.

Jan 2000 - my prediction is in the $80-$95 range.

Now your turn. Whats your prediction for the same timeframe and why? I dont seriously think you can answer it but I thought I would ask.

Cheers Kevin
