Paul,

Intel continues to have no competitive entry level product.

The chip was initially touted as a Celeron device because those chips currently have a small integrated cache, said the sources, but Intel is now saying that Dixon will not be a Celeron product.

Selling Dixon as a Celeron-brand chip would mean selling a $100-to-$200 low-end part that works better than Pentium II parts starting at $200.
