Kent School District and MC2 Learning Systems Inc. (MC2)
form Strategic Alliance

Kent, Washington - July 17, 1998
Based on the success of ZebuTM (Zebu) as part of the Windows to the World project, Kent School District (the fourth largest school district in the state of Washington) has licensed MC2's educational software, Zebu, for use throughout the 23,000 student district.

Kent School District has been very active in utilizing networked computers as educational tools. Under the Windows to the World grant, the 400 teacher participants were initially trained on Zebu to help broaden instructional strategies using technology. The Kent School District has a strong desire to successfully integrate technology and curriculum into the learning experience, while at the same time creating an enterprise-wide networked communication system readily accessible to every member of its educational community. Zebu is an easy-to-use tool that supports educators in achieving this goal.

Kent Keel, Executive Director of Information Technology for Kent School District says, "Zebu supports our district's objectives of providing strong instructional programming with the full range of audio and video data, text, graphics or additional state-of-the-art communications, including multimedia-based resources distributed through interactive methods for the purpose of education and instruction."

MC2 Learning Systems's President & CEO, Myles McGovern, sees this as a very important partnership for both organizations. Mr. McGovern explained "the Kent School District was chosen for this strategic alliance because they are a district with leading-edge technological infrastructure. Not only do they have Macintosh and PC computers, but the Kent District is aggressively working with PriceWaterhouseCoopers on the implementation of Oracle network computers. This project supports the shared philosophy that the network is your computer, enabling learning at anytime from any location, including home."

MC2 Learning Systems Inc. is a dynamic leader in the educational software industry and is committed to delivering powerful network-based learning tools to the education market. MC2 has pioneered an innovative, cost-effective and user-friendly approach to integrating network tools into the classrooms. MC2's software products are designed by educators to effectively meet the needs of the education community. MC2 is a publicly traded company whose shares are listed and trading on the Alberta Stock Exchange under the symbol MCZ.A
