The week of Aug 10-14 sounds perfectly reasonable. DRIV filed its first S-1/A on 7/15/98, just two days ago.

IPOmaven also gives 8/12/98 as the expected IPO date, entirely consistent with the afore-mentioned "rumor".

Moreover, I just examine the pre-IPO document filing chronology of Broadcast.com and Actuate Software, the two sizzling IPOs today. Both Broadcast.com and Actuate filed their respective 1st S-1/A on June 23, 98, and they successfully carry out the IPOs 3 to 4 weeks later (today). Applying that chronology to Digital River, adding 3 to 4 weeks to the date (7/15/98) Digital River filed the 1st S-1/A, we can safely conclude that the week of Aug 10-14 appears to be entirely logical.

BT Alex Brown, BamcAmerica Robbie Stephens and Bear Stearns are the 3 underwriters of this endeavor. It would, of course, only be prudent that we confirm with them as to the exact IPO date/week. As well, giving Joel Ronning and Robert Strawman a phone call or two certainly would not hurt either.
