You and everyone else has put requirements such that if ODIS didn't do such and such by Qx, then you would sell. None of those requirements have been met, but you remain holding

I certainly have stated what I thought was a realistic scenario for this stock, and from a starting point of Q1 last year, the company has failed to meet them. FWIW, if the company had achieved what I thought possible from Q1 last year, the revenues this quarter would have been $22M and the earnings would have been 7 cents.

So I agree completely that ODIS has been performing well below potential. 50% per annum is IMO the lowest revenue growth rate this company should be targeting, and the best quarters should show revenue growth exceeding 100% yoy. I think you would agree that the company's technology and core competencies make that sort of performance possible; although you seem to be hinting (!) that you don't think Bob Goldman is the right man for the job.

I am a long-term investor so I don't have short-term sell criteria. I have bought this company for its long-term potential. I agree completely with you that it hasn't been meeting potential even this quarter. 40% growth is another failure, in the sense that it's still too low. But I'm not just sitting here hoping: the company is clearly targeting higher growth and it's investing in the products and in a more aggressive, better organized sales & marketing effort. The $1M profit tells me that the company can afford to invest more heavily in future growth, and that's why I like it.

So far as I can tell, Sales & Marketing VP Kirk Bowman is doing a great job for stockholders. And remember that Bob Goldman is the guy who hired him. I thought Goldman's remarks about the potential of the PSE Java database in embedded systems were very good marketing, very good strategy.

I think our main disagreement is simply that we have different time horizons as investors. I'm prepared to ride out fluctuations because I see in this company the potential to give a hundred-fold return over a decade. Your horizon seems closer to a year. If I wanted to be harsh, I would say that you're a speculator, not an investor.
