This revolutionary solution offers four channel audio output, utilizing Sound Blaster PCI technology, and a five-piece speaker system consisting of four satellites and a powered subwoofer based on the award-winning PCWorks speaker system from Cambridge SoundWorks. The Sound Blaster PCI128 & PCWorks FourPointSurround system, which will initially ship with Activision's 14-level OEM edition of Battlezone, allows gamers to experience high-quality sound and true interactive 3D audio on their PC. The Sound Blaster PCI128 sound card offers complete Sound Blaster PCI support in a single card and works with MS-DOS and Windows based titles. Support For Environmental Audio Extensions
Creative plans to extend support for its Environmental Audio Extensions (EAX) to the new Sound Blaster PCI128 in the FALL of '98. This host-based upgrade will allow existing and new customers to experience titles that support EAX on the Sound Blaster PCI128. All EAX-based games and applications software originally developed to run best on the new Sound Blaster Live! audio card can also soon be experienced by the Sound Blaster PCI128 user. Sound Blaster Live!, Creative's premiere PCI audio card and the first card created to support Environmental Audio, is due out this summer.
