It looks like there are at least two generations around here!! As an authentic late 60's hippie radical, I can tell you I didn't know what to do with the late 70's at all!!! I worked 16 hours a day so I never had to listen to disco!! I was embarrassed that all the protesting and getting in touch with my feelings and surreality led to almost nothing at all!! I can only imagine how you felt, coming of age then!!

Freedom is something I think everyone should have a lot of. I feel really horrified that in the '90's, in an urban area, there is very little freedom for children. It makes me sad, like it does all parents, that we birth these perfect little beings, and through no fault of our own they endure pain, longing, and all the harshness of life at the end of the 20th century. Somehow I thought I could do better than that for my Briana, and the agony of knowing that I could not makes me feel really powerless.
