Perry-I'm sure others will have great information for you as well, but whatever you do, order from an Apple Authorized Reseller. There are only a few that are authorized to sell online. I like CDW and Cyberian Outpost. Of the authorized dealers, they generally have great prices. You can find them at outpost.com and cdw.com.

MacWarehouse is also good (as well as Mac Mall, etc.) but I have had problems with their customer service (or lack thereof).

As far as the PC chip, yes you can buy a PC card for your Mac (not powerbook) from Orange Micro. Their website is at orangemicro.com They are very good if you want to go the hardware route (PC chip, RAM, etc.) but if you are getting a fast G3, then you might want to consider Virtual PC or SoftWindows. Virtual PC has gotten a lot of press, but I've found SoftWindows to be slightly faster. These are Windows emulators (software). Virtual PC info. can be found at connectix.com and SoftWindows can be found at insignia.com

Good luck!
