But this doesn't give you the proper info to base any future projections on, becuase it ignores the numbers of Zip drives sold from June 31, 1997 to March 31, 1998 which have to figured into a tie ratio.

July 31.1997 installed Zip drive base was 7 million.
Now, it is 15 million.

By ignoring this, are you trying to say that the approx. 1.5 Million drives sold in the 2nd Quarter '98 are soley responsible for a 44% growth in Zip disc sales 2ndQ '97 to 2nd Q '98? This is not right, and not a good model for future analysis.

The proper model says that it took a 114% increase in installed base Zip drives to generate a 44% increase in Zip disc unit sales.
