I don't actually work for ODIS but I do work with them a lot. Just a clarification.

I think your view that ODIS has poor earnings visibility and is "random walking in a base" is a legitimate interpretation of the evidence. Someone asked 10 or so posts ago why the price dropped today, and I would say that you have put your finger on it. A large chunk of the market thinks this quarter's result might be an outlier. The true believers see it as a stepping stone in the right direction. Q3 last year was a false dawn, with $15M of revenues so it's easy to see why people can fail to be impressed by this quarter's result.

FWIW, my targets for are Q3: $18M and Q4: $21M. If the company hits these I will view this as objective confirmation. If it doesn't, my opinion about the company will be shaped by its progress in marketing, the Microsoft and Sun relationships, and new product development.

I don't really buy the mania for stocks like AMZN but I can see a real possibility that ODIS may start to be viewed in the same light if it starts producing consistent revenue growth well above 50%. I see vast potential to dominate the Java persistence market and also to dominate the object storage market in both Unix and NT.

But on the other hand your view is also a rational interpretation of the evidence, so I'm glad you share your thoughts with us.

Maybe in a few quarters one of us will feel differently.
