I agree. But the asking price of $40-48 is not a high price given the cost of alternative techniques. Will a lower cost seed cause you to change supply if that supplier has no track record? Would you put your Amersham or Theragenics contract in jeopardy and buy from the new players before he has established his ability to supply?

Most companies new into the market will only be able to supply small amounts of seeds. Despite the talk about high volumes and large profits, there is some black magic to making seeds. The line does not produce 10,000 seeds per week in the first week and in some weeks the production is lower than others and there are many reasons for this.

NASI has been selling seeds for 7 months now and still their market share among seed makers must be single digits. They have potential but what I am saying is that it takes time and I wonder if Amersham and THRX customers are reluctant to switch and risk losing their position with these market leaders. Any thoughts?
