Columbine JDS transmits
TransMission Manager from Columbine JDS (CJDS) is a total package for managing all aspects of a digital television transmission, including planning the broadcast, allocating bandwidth, and controlling the on-air environment. It interfaces to all CJDS traffic products and includes CJDS' master control automation system, MCAS-III.
TransMission Manager provides tools for the delivery of multiple channels at varying quality levels, variable channel line ups, and options for a number of ancillary services such as electronic program guides, alternative languages for audio and subtitles and demographically targeted advertising. It is composed of a number of subsystems built around Digital Manager, the central transmission planning database module. Standard integrated subsystems are the MCAS automation system, the Synchroniser, managed encoders and multiplexers, and the System Information (SI) and Electronic Program Guide (EPG) generator.
