Daryn;

I came across this post on SI, and would like your response to it.
Message 5232966

My understanding was that SI was for private investors, to share information. It seems like all types of people are posting on SI from promoters to brokerage houses ect......

When a private investor makes an investment it is with his own funds, he does not base his thoughts on how many shares of stock a Company wishes to give him to promote their stock. This is not to say that all will be rosy when we as private investors share our thoughts on a stock, for all stocks are not a success. Most fail based on misinformation by the Company, that has nothing to do with what a private investor is told on the phone or in news releases ect..., I for one have been missiled by a few companies it has only made me a little wiser in regards to the BB market and I for one have learned from my mistakes. Daryn if you are being paid to promote stocks I feel you should not be allowed to post on SI but of course thats my opinion. The following seems to be excitement on your part, coming from a private investor is one thing but from someone like yourself who may have received stock from USBL it leaves a bad taste in my mouth;

We are ready for a SHORT SQUEEZE! Get ready for a BIG move guys!!!

I feel USBL is a great Company although I did sell my position at present and may be back in at a later time. The image for myself is that it has been tarnished based on what I have read with their involvement with you.

I feel SI is a great forum and I have picked up much from reading the posts but I always thought is was intended to be a posting forum for private investors;

Mission Statement
Silicon Investor is a virtual company, a network of highly knowledgeable individuals from around the world who are dedicated to discovering the truth and uncovering the best investment opportunities. Financial information is no longer an exclusive privilege of Wall Street and its contingent of analysts and brokers. SI seeks to bring a new financial order to Wall Street... one that benefits individual investors.

techstocks.com

SI is the "controversial" home of individual investors...sophisticated people who invest their own money for themselves, instead of handing it over to the so called "experts"

techstocks.com

I see nothing mentioned by SI for promoters, market makers Ect.............
only private investors...............

SI seems to be growing at an enormous rate and with that comes problems. I feel strongly that the people who post on SI must let other members know the status of their involvement in the stock arena. Whether they are simply a private investor or a bit more involved thus effecting the way they post.

I feel their should be a mandatory field that needs to be filled in regards to a members status with regards to their status whether it be private investor, market maker, promoter ect............................

The questions would look like the following................

Have you ever been paid in any form to promote a stock YES NO

Are you currently a Market Maker Yes No

Have you ever purchased stock through a private placement Yes No

Do you buy all your stock through a brokerage house with your own funds Yes No

Are you an employee CEO Ect........ Of any publicly traded Company and if so do you post in relation to your Company Yes No

Do you short stocks Yes No

ECT...........................................

I also feel that the fields need to be permanent and only changed by request. This is not a guarantee that someone may abuse it an give inaccurate information but it is a public statement that if it is found otherwise to be not true it may hold them accountable for their actions.

Also for those who cannot see the profiles (non members). I feel it would be a important feature to have a PI (private investor) next to their name if the field questions are answered in a way to warrant it.

Example;
Alan Markoff <PI>

I have sent this post to Jill to give her my thoughts and express my concerns. This is SI's forum and I know this is a continuing problem for them but feel confident they will try to address it in their own way.
