The Seed Being Christ

Genesis 15:5 And He brought him outside and said, Look now
toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count
them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be.

The word "seed" refers to [Abraham's] descendant. It is singular,
not plural, in number. This is very strange because humanly
speaking, if his descendants were to be as numerous as the stars in
heaven, "seed" should have been plural. But when God was
telling Abraham of the multiplicity of his descendants, He used
the word "seed" in the singular. Why does He use the singular
form of the word? Who was the one seed? In Galatians 3:16,
Paul said, "He does not say, 'And to the seeds,' as concerning
many, but as concerning one: 'And to your seed,' who is Christ."
Hence, the seed that God referred to was not many people, but
one person. This person was not Isaac, but Christ.
This shows us that the One who inherits the land is the one seed.
As far as Abraham was concerned, the seed was Isaac. But in a
wider context, the seed is Christ. Isaac was just a shadow; the
substance is Christ. In other words, Christ will inherit the land
and bless the earth. Both power and authority are with Christ.
God's work of recovery is carried out by Christ, not by Isaac.
Christ is the seed, and the seed is the heir who inherits the
promises. Hence, in order to inherit the promised blessing, we
must be one with Christ. Outside of Him we cannot inherit the
promises given by God to Abraham. In God's eyes Abraham has
only one seed, that is, Christ. We must be in Him that we may
participate in the promises given to Abraham.

Lord Jesus, thank You that I am in You and share in what You
have received as God's unique seed. I want to enjoy more of the
promised blessing today. Also bring (blank) into this enjoyment
by leading them to be one with You. Amen.

This simple message from the Word of God is being perverted today by heretics and false brethren insisting the blessings of Abraham belong to the religious members of modern antichrist Judaism and in the antichrist nation of Israel. This false teaching produces serious consequeces in two groups of peopls-----Christianan people not well established in their faith and Jewish people whos religious loyalties are still with antichristian modern Judaism.
First, Jewish people are being given the false hope that they will inherit the promises and blessings of Abraham by virtue of their membership in modern antichrist Judaism. There are many false teachers who are telling Jewish people they can be saved by simply following Judaism.
In other words, they are telling Jewish people that they can be saved by belongin to modern antichrist Judaism. The present Pope put it in these words: "modern Judaism is salvific". This statement has the appearance of love and seems to promote peace and reconciliation between Christians and Jews, but is in fact a statement of hate against the modern Jewish people because it encourages them to turst in modern antichrist Judaism for their salvation. There is clear in the Scriptures that there is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ.
Christians are being deceived by depriving them of their inheritance in Christ Jesus. In Christ, all the promises of Abraham belong ot Christians.
Secondly, the poorly formed or new Christians are being discouraged to read the promises to Abraham and appropriate them as their own.
All the promises made to Abraham in the Old Testament belong to the Christians people. The promises of Abraham belong to the Jewish people who accept Christ, the Russain people who accept Christ, the English people who accept Christ, the Chinese people, etc. etc.
The Christian people are the heirs of Old Testament Judaism in Christ Jesus, and not the members of modern Judaism who reject Jesus.. |
