I was wondering....... what are some possible scenarios when/if Japan finally does start writing off the 500 billion dollars(conservative estimate)in bad loans? Will the surge of bankruptcies result in a plunge in the stock market and the yen? Or will the market interpret the move as bullish for the future(probably) and discount short term pain for long term gain? Will it attract a mass inflow of of capital? Will it help gold?Suggestions welcome.
