Per the MS article:
Total shares outstanding : 48.3 million
Less, Bezos's - 41% ownership : 19.8 million
Less, Insiders & VC firms 12% : 5.79 million
Less, Bezos Mom & Dad, 6.5% : 3.14 million
Less, Other insiders, 3.5% : 1.7 million
Total available float : 37% = 17.9 million shares
Less institutions 10% owner = 1.8 million
Total available float for trading - 16 million shares
Total short interests - Was 9 million shares, how many shares now?
Total boxed shorts - float controled by shorts, how many shares?
Insiders control >60%; real sellers #1
Hedge funds such as Vinick, other traders; 20%?? real sellers #2.
To sell/dump just 5 million shares:
5 M @ $120 per shares = $600 million dollars
5 M @ $130 per shares = $750 million dollars
We have seen the first insider seller two weeks ago for 350,000 shares; by B&T, which I believe, was the major reason for the reversal.
Let's wait for the sellers, it is difficult for them too; to watch the price drop or to be comforted by paper profits. |
