Instock..please look at the introduction to our thread: marketgems.com. We are mostly day traders here or short term/swing traders. We look for stocks that are technically poised for a breakout either breaking through resistance lines or bouncing off support. Some of us daytraders look for stocks with intraday ranges of .5 to 3 points like the internet stocks, technology, pharmaceutical or any sector currently in favor. Our watch lists try to chose 13 or so 'ideas' among the 9,000 or so possible so we have a 'headstart' in the morning. These 'ideas' are in the form of "watch lists". The stocks on our lists are the ones we feel have the best odds for a 'breakout' or price move to the upside. Our regulars usually provide analysis or any interesting news that might fortify their opinions about the stocks in question.

In some cases we like stocks that we feel have been dealt with too harshly by the street like AFCI, AVNT, CLCX, TOM and could provide us with a bounce, not onlike the 'dead cat bounce' theory. Whatever we choose, we parry back and forth and have a daily interchange and discourse throughout the market day. This usually helps us in making buying decisions. A good example lately was EGGS, ELNK, SUNW, TLAB,SMOD,BRKT and some other internet and technology stocks that were touted by our posters and turned out to be most profitable trades.
