Plug away! I've been considering opening an account with Maverick for a while, and would like to hear the benefits Mav has to MB, Watley, or the rest. Here are a few questions I have in particular.
1) Does the customer have the ability to choose how the order is routed? ie can you use Selectnet, island, INCA etc. I got the impression from your web site that you might only use ARCA.
2) Do you use the same version of realtick III, or do the different companies have their own adaptations?
3) Do you have a demo with old or simulated data? It would be nice to be able to get familiar with the software.
4) The margin requirements get pretty confusing with regards to buying power, especially when a security is held overnight. My question is, if I don't have an overnight position, am I able to trade through my account value as often as I want? (for example, if I had 50k, could I buy and sell 1000 shares of a $50 stock 20 or 30 times per day if I wanted to?) Am I restricted to a certain percentage if I have an overnight position?
5) Are IRA accounts subject to the same rules as margin accounts in regards to active trading? (obviously I can't short or borrow) Like above, can I trade through my net worth several times per day in an IRA?
