Since I have no life nor employment I spend a lot of time reading to educate myself. I voice my opinion as an on-line individual where my profile and website have me fully exposed for my posts. I do not hide under anomity I am who I am with a quest to expose certain deities on-line. I consider motives and read the posts whether I agree or not.
As fraudsters, blackmailers, even criminals continue to play their games on the internet addressing the fear greed aspect of everyone as their vessel to gather the masses. This forum is a marketplace of ideas that does not require believing that truth will necessarily be triumphant over a falsehood. Rather, the justification sprouts from the fact that truth is not always easily recognized (an unfair advantage for the evil) and may arise out of what was once perceived as falsehood. Knowing that each reader has a mind it is important that all expression regardless as to whether true or false, mainstream or outrageous be placed before the internet eyes and that the readers have a realized opportunity to receive whatever ideas that expression may convey. If any idea is merely expressed, but cannot heard or read, it is of little value. This is how stock manipulation and personal grudges are distributed to gain public support.
Lets say someone has a definitive reason to protest a CEO of a small company. They can get together with others wanting to overthrow the management by buying up the shares. However how can buy the shares they would need to do this if everytime they buy they drive the price up with each accumulation. Simple, tout the stock as a solid investment with good potential and slander the management and any pro supporter of the stock without the burden of proof. Once the dislike for the CEO is fully established along with replacing the pro supporters with themselves all that is left is to establish the overthrow at the share holder's meeting. Now in this type of greedful overthroe they have to keep the company and products in solid high regard with the public and shareholders.
Other unsavory possibilities include vastly simplified insider trading, the sale of corporate and personal secrets, blackmail/extortion, and other criminal activities. These can be close to perfect crimes because the criminal commits an act of extortion, for example, blackmail which does not require face-to-face contact to make a demand for money. This could even take place with a shareholder that lost money in a stock investment. Then donning a shield and sword of a dragon slayer they go after the accused dragon. However they accuse all the on-line friends of a possible dragon of being in a partnership. Once the seeds are planted they go for the dragon's throat. Protraying themselves as a vicitm they express to the dragon they will not turn the dragon into the proper authorities if the dragon will pay the money for their losses.
Hiding under free speech they know that this right in our system of government is to invite dispute. It may indeed best serve its high purpose when it induces a condition of unrest, creates dissatisfaction with conditions as they are, or even stirs people to anger. They attack management incompetence for the purpose ofstock manipulation and have profound unsettling effects . . This is just the opposite of the touters with inside information.
The best test of truth is the power of thought to get itself accepted in the competition of the internet. There is no better medium for a marketplace of far-ranging ideas than the internet. The Internet is unusually well suited to self-expression. Any person with a computer and a telephone line can become an author, an artist, a creator, promotor or con artist. It is an affordable medium to wage the motives of deception. The Internet has an audience that far exceeds that of the country's largest news media. However it provides a fegree of physical safety through convenience an anonymity. Also the privacy of Private messages one can facilitate genuine self-expression of actual criminal acts hidden under a shroud for the concern for others for the future ..
Hey these type even publish mis-leading onformation diliberately such as a Transfer Agent stating one thing and an online touter posts a contradiction knowing it is wrong. Criminals do sometimes confess in Private Message their true intent.
