These tests are for pathogens in the blood. Immucor's devices (ABS, etc.) are for ABO TYPING and antibody detection (Rh factors, etc). Chiron's device and Immucor's devices would complement each other very nicely.

Automation, "ease of use", and "rapid throughput" are three things blood banks want. The ABS, DIAS and the ROSYS were made to meet these particular needs. 1999 should be a very interesting year for Immucor ! |
