No, Toy, it was AT&T. And what did the antitrust action have to do with IBM's long slide? IBM's long slide was caused by the same technical, infrastructural momentum and denial that caused NCR, Sperry, Burroughs, Wang, Prime,...(get the idea). It was called "client/server". In fact, your opinions remind me a lot of those of my old bosses' opinion when I was in "big iron". "Son, there will never be a day when mainframes don't dominate the market. It's always been that way. These minicomputers and toy computers are just passing fads. Now shut up and write some more COBOL!"

Please, Toy, take the emotional, ready-to-fight attitude out of your postings and you will enjoy some constructive dialog. Perhaps you should just lurk for awhile until you get the feel for what is going on here.
